Stone Art

I have a lot of stones at my place
that I have collected over the years.
mostly from the Baie de Chaleur;
and wherever I travel.
Rafaelle, my neighbour's 9 yrs. old daughter,
did most of the art forms with the rocks/stones.
It is amazing what she did in a few minutes.

The head could have been a piece of asphalt.

These rocks/stones near my deck replaces grass.
the green plants growing are pansies that reseed each year.
chives also grow in the rocks.

Rocks for borders....
(It needs some improvement)

A Tiny Garden

I made a Tiny Garden
with pieces of  broken terracotta pots
The plants have just been transplanted
The garden will look better in a few weeks.

I used  plants from my garden, mostly ground sedum.

I filled in the stairway with moss
also the crack in the pot.

I used another pot for the stand and put it on a stump

Small pieces were inserted for the stairs

A bottom from a broken pot behind the house.
"Hens and Chickens" in the small pots
"Snow in Summer" in the pot to the right.
This plant flowers white in July in this region

and should trail down the stairs....
The little house is terracotta. On the bottom it is stamped
"Ricard"... Le Saniton d'Art, Marseille, France.

Garage Sale Find
(My photo is not very clear.)

"Chives" in the little pot beside the house.
They will grow taller and flower blue
To the left is...
"Bethlehem Sage"  one of the first plants to flower here.
When the blue and pink flowers are finished

the plant remains green all summer
with it's beautiful speckled leaves;
a great ground cover under bushes/shrubs.

Terracotta Pots

 The look, the quality
and the color makes
these pots my favorite.
Terracotta is an earth-friendly pot
made of a rich Tuscan clay (Italy),
brings out the best in your plants

Other pots- the largest one is a
Strawberry Pot.

Other pretty pots

You must wonder what I'm doing with all these pots?
Not much....  I am a "Serial Collector"  LOL

I do plant flowers in some of them.
and herbs in the smaller pots.

In the larger pots below I planted my nasturtiums seeds
that I saved from last year's flowers.
To see how I did it, check out my blog on "Nasturtiums"
click here.

Most of my flowers are perennials.
I don't buy many annuals because of the short
summer season here (Maybe some pansies
and cosmos).
To view my blog from last year on "Terracotta Pots", click here
you will see how my collection grew. (What a difference a year makes)..

Also I made a "Tiny Garden" with broken pot pieces, click here to check it out....

Hand painted faces on wooden heads,

I have been collecting these for many yrs.

Whenever I'd see one I had to bring her home.
As I assembled them for photos today
I realize, I have ...(A Wedding Party).
