Last weekend we were
invited to Metis-Sur-Mer to
Celebrate the Life of a family
friend who had passed away.
We took the occasion to
visit this beautiful
garden in the area.
Métis, a quaint seaside town,
situated on the north
shore of the Gaspé coast,
South shore of the
St. Lawrence River.
Reford Gardens
The Blue Himalayan Poppy,
the emblem of the Reford Gardens
was introduced here, by the founder of
the gardens, Elsie Reford.
Elsie Reford created this garden.
A 200 acre garden, with
trees, babbling brooks, sculptures,
statues, flowers and more.

Our last evening there,
We said goodbye to Muriel.
May she rest in peace,
until we meet again.
Her legacy lives on
in her beautiful family.
We usually stop at a rest area,
by the bridge, for a break.
Traffic was heavy.
