Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day.
A day to celebrate all the
 wonderful mothers in our lives.

I lost my Mom in 1992
at the age of 82.
She passed down her love
 of decorating, cooking,
gardening and fine china.
I'm decorating this table
in her honour.

A Victorian table theme.

I made cherry cupcakes
decorated with cameo chocolates.

A delectable treat...

 cameos, pearls and lace

 Royal Albert China.

Named in honour of
 Queen Victoria's husband.....Albert.

My Mom raised a large family of 14 children.
When she wasn't busy doing household chores,
 cooking, cleaning, gardening, sewing etc.
 She was writing.
She had a love for literature, especially poetry.

Here's one of her poems

My Mom and Dad were together for 62 yrs.

"All that I am or ever hope to be,
I owe to my Angel.... Mother."
~Abraham Lincoln~

Happy Mother's Day
to all you wonderful Moms out there.

Thanks for your visit xo.

  7. What a beautiful table honoring your sweet Mother!! Gorgeous tea cups!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Over the last decade, our weather has gotten warmer and more humid than it used to be and last year, we broke the record for the most amount of rain fall in a single year. This year, it looks as if we might break that record again. Our climate is definitely changing here so may that is why the plants and flowers are doing so well!!
    Hugs,
    Deb
