O Christmas Tree

I am sharing my sister Annie's Christmas tree.
She decorated in shades of red.

I have chosen a Christmas song for
this blog,  as I share some photos of
her lovely tree.

"O Christmas Tree"

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
How faithful are thy branches!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
How faithful are thy branches.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Green not alone in Summer time,

But in the Winter's frost and rime;

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
How faithful are thy branches.

Tis not alone in summer's sheen,

Its boughs are broad, it's leaves are green;

It blooms for us when wild winds blow,

And earth is white with feathery snow;

A voice tells all its boughs amoung;

Of shepherds watch, and angel's song

Of holy babe in manger low,
The story of so long ago.

Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas
filled with hope, love and Joy.

Thanks for visiting my blog. xo

Christmas Dishes

It's a few weeks until Christmas.
Time to take out the china and
get ready for some Christmas teas.

I love this Sadler poinsettia pattern.

I have 2 sizes of teapots.
The larger one above and
below is a smaller one.

Vintage Cranberry Glass
(Victorian-era glass)
I use the sherbert dishes for desserts.
They are so colourful.

A Birch Christmas Tree

I made some seaglass ornaments recently.

If you missed my previous blog,
on making these ornaments,
 click  Seaglass Ornaments.

To display them, I decorated a birch tree.

Not an easy tree to photograph.

Some closeups

The Star

Below...
Trees, an angel, and "L.O.V.E"
in seaglass language.

My sister Annie and I,
painted some scenes on
the left over wood slices.

Annie's Creations
"Owls"
The first one, both owls are 2 beach stones painted
and glued on the wood.

Beneath the tree.
I used a brown gingham curtain
for a tree skirt, and added some pinecones.

Annie also made 7 seaglass angels for the tree.

It fits snuggly in a corner.

Seaglass Ornaments

I made some Christmas
ornaments with seaglass,
my first attempt to do craft
with this glass.

I took a wooden birch wreath
apart and used the wood to
glue the glass on.

I have not altered the glass in anyway.
It is as I found it on the beach.

Angel

Sailboats

Candles

Walking along the beach,
seaglass can be found
along the shoreline,
 tossed up by the tides.

Lovebirds

Lighthouse

Treasures of the Sea

3 sailboats

Good quality seaglass pieces are
frosted,  with no sharp edges
the result of many years of tossing
and tumbling in the rough waters of the sea.

Sailboat

Snowman and tree

Sailboat made with bottle bottoms

3 trees - 2 spruce and 1 blue spruce

Angel

Lighthouse

Most glass found was once part of
medicine bottles, liquor
or soft-drink bottles, dishes etc.

I used a glue gun with hot glue to glue the ornaments.

I displayed these ornaments
on a birch tree.
