Akureyri, Iceland

Day 9 of our Iceland Cruise,

After 2 days at sea,

we arrive in Akureyri, Iceland

with a fantastic view of snowy fjords.

We made 3 stops in Iceland.

The language spoken in Akureyri 

is Icelandic and English.

The currency is Króna 

Conversation: 1 Króna = .15 Cdn. 

Very expensive to buy there.

We got our breakfast and came to the Observation Deck

 to see the view as the ship was approaching land.

Annie had a cinnamon bun every morning. 

Each place before docking, it takes a certain

pilot/captain, from the place, to park the ship. 

where we are landing. 

So this small boat brings the person out to

the ship and he/she drives the cruise ship to its

place at the dock. We saw this at each dock.

We walked around town

We didn't climb the stairs to this church.

We visited the Botanical Gardens
