Merry and Bright ~ Christmas Dishes

I did this blog during the Covid Pandemic in 2020.

We cannot have tea with friends this Christmas.
In our province we are not allowed to have
visitors for Christmas.
I took out my Christmas china to enjoy and
to make things, "Merry and Bright".

Time to slow down and reflect on the important
things in life, like family and friends.
And most of all the real meaning of Christmas.

The cup and saucer with the candles, in the front is:
Jason Works, Nanrich Pottery, Staffordshire, England.
I am missing the saucer. So pretty. It' my favourite.

The white tree my sister Annie made out of coffee filters.
If you missed it, in my previous blog, you can see it here.

My sister Annie and I
will have tea together.
I've baked cookies,
gumdrop cakes and fruitcakes.
I will give some to neighbours and friends.
I put some in the mail today , to family.

As you can see out the window,
we have snow on the ground.
On the positive side,
it's makes everything so much brighter.

I am joining Sandi over at Rose Chinz Cottage
for "No Place Like Home"  party. Thanks Sandi.

Thanks for your visit xo

We must stay at home to stay safe.
Merry Christmas.

  3. Thelma, your teacups are lovely! I love your Staffordshire teacup with the candles on it. Very pretty! I have two of your teacups; the December teacup and the cardinal teacup. Your sister's coffee filter tree looks adorable in the middle of the table. It is so soft and pretty. I got my cakes sent off in the mail too. That is a big job for me. We are in a two week lockdown now. I don't know what Christmas holds for us this year. I think everyone on the planet will be happy to say good-bye to 2020. Do take care, my friend. There will be brighter days ahead for sure. Hugs...Sandi

  5. You have such a lovely collection of Christmas teacups! Thank you for sharing them with us! I am sorry you must stay at home for Christmas this year. I believe we will all be doing things a bit differently, but as you were saying, it will help us to focus more on the true meaning of Christmas. Have yourself a "Merry Little Christmas".
