The First Snowstorm - A Ride To The Camp

November 23, 2015.
The first snowfall in Gaspe.

There is always something magical
about the first snowfall.

I went for a ride
with Bruce and Carol,
to the family camp.

We took Rte. Day and
drove approx. 8km (5 miles) north
into the woods.
Bruce wanted to check his camp and
show us trees he decorated for
the birds and wild life to enjoy.

Heavy snow was falling...
on Day's Lane

The secondary road,
was rough with a lot of slush

We arrive at the road to the camp,
into the forest.

After opening the gate, we continue driving in.

Bruce gets out to remove a small tree
that fell on the road.

A view of the road
ahead. Yikes...

The trees were sagging with heavy snow.
My brother has a 4wheel drive truck,
He reassured us that we wouldn't get stuck.

This road is not open in the Winter,
The camp is accessible by snowshoes or skidoos.

 A winter wonderland
 "silence is golden"
 peacefulness and
 clean fresh air,
...priceless...

We headed back. ..A small tree had fallen on the road

A farm on the way....

Farmers place these hay bales to
 keep hunter's vehicles out.

We are fortunate to live in a world
with four Seasons.
